As well as hearing me talk (rather than being handed a printed brochure), patients like the videos because they get a lot of important information from them. For women who want larger, fuller breasts, breast implants are a safe, highly successful way to get the breast size they’ve always wanted. In fact, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, breast augmentation is the top cosmetic surgery performed today. This comes as no surprise to me because whether it’s increasing a woman’s breast size from an A cup to a C, or a B cup to a D, breast implant surgery is the most common plastic surgery procedure I perform in my practice.  To learn more about the range of breast surgery procedures I offer, click here.

For my patients who choose to have breast implants, it can be a wonderful turning point in their lives, boosting their self-esteem, body image and sexual satisfaction, and I am pleased that I can help achieve these positive outcomes for them. In my plastic surgery practice, I have many, many patients who want larger, fuller breasts. However, I also have many patients who would like their breasts to be smaller. Very large breasts, especially on small-framed women, can cause neck pain, back pain, painful indentions on the shoulders, rashes, problems with exercise, self-consciousness and embarrassment. 

If you feel your breasts are too large, especially if they have become cumbersome and uncomfortable, breast reduction surgery can be a very effective solution. As well as reducing the size and weight of your breasts, this procedure also improves the shape of your breasts and nipple areas, allowing you to feel good about yourself and your appearance, sometimes for the first time.

It’s also important to know that I perform breast reduction on men as well, usually due to a condition called gynecomastia in which male breasts are abnormally enlarged.

In my plastic surgery practice, many women come to me wanting larger breasts. However, I also have many patients who would like their breasts to be smaller. Very large breasts, especially on small-framed women, can cause physical discomfort, neck pain, back pain, rashes, problems with exercise, and even embarrassment.

As well as reducing the size and weight of your breasts, this procedure also improves the shape of your breasts and nipple areas, allowing you to feel good about yourself and your appearance, sometimes for the first time.

Do you have droopy, sagging breasts? Do you wish they were fuller, higher and younger-looking? Like many of my patients, you might want to consider having a breast lift, not only to improve the way your breasts look but also the way you feel about yourself as a woman. 

Breast lift surgery restores the shape and contour of breasts that have sagged as a result of:

• pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• weight loss
• aging
• gravity
• heredity
• other factors

Over the more than 20 years I have been a plastic surgeon, I have heard dozens of reasons why a woman would like her breasts enhanced.  I perform a large number of breast augmentations each year and I offer all of my patients the same advice if they are considering this procedure: Breast augmentation can improve the appearance of your breasts but should not be used as a means to improve your overall life, or to make a bad relationship better.
