No matter how much you love your children, it’s hard to deny that pregnancy, delivery and breastfeeding take a toll on your figure, often resulting in one or more of these less-than-desirable developments: drooping and/or smaller-than-before breasts, a flabby and protruding stomach, loose skin, tummy rolls, sagging buttocks, thigh saddlebags and stubborn fat deposits that don’t go away even after dieting and exercise. Are you experiencing any or all of these?
If so, good news! A Mommy Makeover can help correct all of these problems. Whether you decide to have one body contouring procedure or a combination of them at the same time, a Mommy Makeover helps women of all ages and body types regain the shape and body tone they had before children, and in many cases, a figure even better than before.

A Mommy Makeover can include up to 6 procedures
Whether performed under local, “twilight” or general anesthesia, a Mommy Makeover consists of a customized combination of body sculpting plastic surgery procedures. Choosing to have several procedures in combination is very beneficial because it limits your total recovery downtime so you are inconvenienced as little as possible. As a husband myself, I fully appreciative women’s full and busy lives. That’s why I use state-of-the-art techniques to minimize my patients’ pain and recovery time so they can quickly return to their families and their lives.
In addition, I perform all of my plastic surgery procedures at The Surgical Specialty Center of Westchester, a state-of-the-art 4-operating-room, 11-recovery-bed ambulatory surgery center that meets the New York Department of Health standards for Hospitals.
For your own personally-customized Mommy Makeover, you can choose to combine any of these surgical procedures:
Breast augmentation surgery is performed to enlarge small breasts, underdeveloped breasts or breasts that have decreased in size after a woman has had children. It can also make breasts more symmetrical if one is significantly larger or smaller than the other. There are three types of breast implants available in the U.S.: saline (sterile saltwater), silicone gel and the Ideal Implant (a structured, saline-filled implant that combines the natural look and feel of silicone gel with the safety of saline).
Breast lift surgery restores the shape and contour of breasts that have sagged as a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, age, gravity, heredity and other factors. This procedure re-positions the nipple and areola (the pink skin surrounding the nipple) to a higher position, moves the breast tissue to a higher level, removes excess skin from the lower portion of the breast, and reshapes the remaining breast skin.
Liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits and improving your body contours and proportion. As long as you maintain your weight, liposuction is a permanent solution for fat removal. The most commonly-requested areas of the body for liposuction are: waist, hips, flanks, arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks and lower legs.A Brazilian butt lift uses liposuction to take pockets of excess fat from unwanted areas such as your belly, waist or thighs and transfer it to the buttocks area, increasing the size, shape, position and fullness of your butt. The benefits of a Brazilian butt lift are two-fold: it slims and trims those areas where you have too much fat, while giving you a higher, fuller, firmer butt. Plus, since a Brazilian Butt Lift uses your own fat, there is very little risk of rejection.
Tummy tuck surgery, also known as abdominoplasty, is a highly effective way to reduce excess fat and skin and tighten abdominal muscles. A tummy tuck removes loose, flabby skin that has lost its shape and elasticity, strengthens weakened stomach muscles, improves the look and shape of the belly button, defines the waist, removes stretch marks, and creates a smoother, tighter midsection.
Lower body lift surgery, often done in conjunction with liposuction, reduces excess fat and loose, hanging skin. It is also very effective at tightening and sculpting the buttocks, back of the thighs, outer thighs, inner thighs, hips and abdomen. This surgery may also help minimize the appearance of cellulite.
Am I a good candidate for a Mommy Makeover?
It’s important to realize that a Mommy Makeover is major surgery with a certain amount of recovery time. For that reason, I want to emphasize that you should undertake a Mommy Makeover for yourself, not to fit some ideal image (airbrushed fashion models, singers or movie stars) or to fulfill someone else’s idea of what your body should look like.
Ideal candidates for Mommy Makeover surgery should:
- be in good medical health
- be at or near their ideal body weight
- have a positive outlook and realistic expectations
- be finished with childbearing
- not smoke or drink excessively
How much does a Mommy Makeover cost?
One of the first questions my patients usually ask me when they’re considering having a Mommy Makeover is how much it will cost. My answer is that there is no one standard price. Recognizing that every woman’s body and desired results are unique to her, I determine the exact cost of a Mommy Makeover after I have met with the patient, evaluated her body type, amount of fat stores, overall physical condition and her personal goals and expectations. Then together, we will decide which combination of plastic surgery procedures will achieve the best possible results. For further pricing details, please contact me.
