Have you gained weight after having children? Do you exercise regularly and eat sensibly but still have areas of your body where fat pockets and extra pounds just won’t come off? Would you like to be slimmer and more toned? If so, you might really benefit from liposuction, a highly successful, long-lasting body contouring procedure.
In addition to liposuction, I also offer a wide range of other body sculpting procedures to help you achieve a more shapely body, which you can learn about here. To find out more about how liposuction works, watch my short video by clicking on the image below.
A highly-effective, permanent solution to fat deposits
One of the many body contouring procedures I perform, liposuction is very successful at reducing localized fat deposits and reshaping a person’s body, often dramatically. It can be performed on almost any part of the body but these are the most commonly requested areas:
- abdomen and waist
- hips and buttocks
- inner and outer thighs
- inner knees
- calves and ankles
- cheeks, jowls and neck
- upper arms
- breast or chest areas
By changing your body, liposuction can also change your life
For many of my patients, liposuction has been a wonderful turning point in their lives, boosting their self-esteem and enabling them to feel confident about their bodies, sometimes for the first time. For others, having liposuction is the motivation they need to commit to a better lifestyle and finally let go of bad habits such as smoking and overeating, becoming healthier than they were before the surgery. What I see over and over again is that liposuction is about more than simply eliminating fat and becoming slimmer.
How to know if you’re a good candidate for liposuction
In order to be considered a good candidate for this particular surgical procedure, you should be in good overall physical health and maintain a routine of regular exercise and proper diet. Liposuction tends to work best on smaller areas of fat, so you should be somewhat close to your ideal weight at the time of your procedure. I do tell my patients, however, that liposuction is not a substitute for other weight loss strategies and is not designed for patients who are overweight or obese.
Consider combining liposuction with other procedures for even more satisfying results
Liposuction can successfully be combined with other body sculpting procedures such as a facelift, breast augmentation, tummy tuck or lower body lift to achieve a more balanced, in-proportion physique. If you're interested in decreasing fat throughout your entire body and trimming and tightening several areas, this will likely take multiple procedures.

How much does liposuction cost?
Because every person’s body is unique and the amount and location of fat to be removed through liposuction vary from person to person, the exact cost of surgery is usually determined by a plastic surgeon after he or she has met with the patient and together, they have decided which and how many areas of the body are good candidates for liposuction in order to achieve the best possible results.
