By changing your breast size, breast implants can also change your life
For many of my patients, getting bigger breasts helps them look and feel younger, sexier, more feminine and more attractive. As well as giving them a bigger bust size, breast augmentation can be a wonderful turning point in their lives, boosting their self-esteem and enabling them to feel confident about their bodies, sometimes for the first time, especially while wearing bathing suits and figure-hugging tops and dresses. In addition to breast augmentation, I offer a complete range of breast procedures which you can learn about here.
Short video about the 3 most popular breast shaping techniques
There are three types of breast implants available in the United States today, all three of which I perform:
- Silicone breast implants that are filled with silicone gel
- Saline breast implants that are filled with saline (sterile saltwater)
- Structured, saline-filled implants that combine silicone gel and saline (Ideal Implant)
To help patients more fully understand their options when considering breast implant surgery, I’ve made a short 2½-minute video explaining the details of each technique, which you can watch by clicking here or on the image below.
Most women—and most plastic surgeons, myself included—prefer the look and feel of silicone or structured implants (rather than saline). Both of these are generally considered to look and feel more like real breast tissue, while saline implants are more prone to cause rippling of the skin. If you are a good candidate for breast augmentation without a lift or other surgery, you may qualify for our special pricing. (Ideal Implant is not eligible.)
I do not use textured breast implants that have recently been recalled
For anyone who has read about or heard the news stories about the problems associated with textured breast implants, I want to clearly state that I only use smooth breast implants for my breast augmentation patients, not textured ones. Therefore, none of my patients have to worry about the recent Allergan BIOCELL recall. I’ve written a blog on this subject which you can read here.

Considering breast implants?
If you are thinking about having breast implant surgery and would like to schedule a free consultation, please contact me and I will send you additional information prior to your appointment. I will assess the current appearance of your breasts, your reasons for wanting surgery, and your specific expectations. Then together, we will decide which breast procedure will most beautifully achieve the results you’re looking for.
If you have breast implants, you should get them checked regularly
If you have breast implants—saline, silicone, structured or textured—it’s important to get them checked for ruptures, slippage, leakage, swelling or any other potential problems. For all my patients with implants, I highly recommend getting them examined once a year. Please make an appointment to come in and see me so I can check for any problems.
