CoolSculpting ELITE works by freezing and then eliminating your fat cells
Unlike ultrasound- or heat-based fat-reducing treatments which actually explode unwanted fat cells, CoolSculpting ELITE works by freezing them. The cells are killed, then get flushed from your body as waste, leaving you more toned and sculpted. While delivering noticeable, very satisfying results, this procedure does not have the side effects of other fat-reducing methods which can cause bruising and soreness.
Once your fat cells are frozen, they will not return
After a CoolSculpting ELITE session, your fat cells in the treatment area are completely gone and will not return. As long as you maintain your weight with normal diet and exercise, your results should be long-term.

Why do some people have stubborn fat?
According to CoolSculpting.com, the number of fat cells in your body is determined during your childhood and adolescence and does not really change as you grow. This number of fat cells is specific to you, and varies from person to person. In addition to their individual number of fat cells, some people have stubborn pockets of fat that are really hard to get rid of, even with diet and exercise. These fat pockets vary from person to person, because everyone carries fat in different areas of their bodies.
How CoolSculpting ELITE works
A CoolSculpting ELITE procedure takes about an hour per area of your body. First, a gel pad is placed over the area that is being treated to protect your skin from the freezing treatment. Next, a device similar to a large vacuum hose is attached to your skin, which vacuums the skin above the area of fatty tissue into an applicator that cools the fat cells. You will feel a cold sensation like an ice pack on bare skin, then a firm tug and pull — enough to make sure the selected tissue will be cooled most efficiently. Then you will feel a sensation of intense cold, followed by numbness in the area. Cold does not damage other types of cells in the way it does fat cells, so there should be no damage to the skin or underlying tissue.
Since CoolSculpting ELITE is completely non-invasive, you can return to your normal activities immediately. You may experience redness, minor bruising, tingling or numbness in the treated area, but this is temporary.
