Have you always felt flat-chested? Is a bigger bra size something you've desired for a long time? If you want larger, fuller breasts, breast implants are a safe, highly successful way to get the breast size you’ve always wanted.
For my patients who choose to have breast implants, it can be a wonderful turning point in their lives, boosting their self-esteem, body image and sexual satisfaction, and I am pleased that I can help achieve these positive outcomes for them. Very often after performing breast augmentation surgery, my patients say, “I love my new breasts! I'm so glad I did this!”
Now there are three types of breast implants
There are now three types of breast implants available in the United States today:
- Silicone breast implants are filled with silicone gel
- Saline breast implants are filled with saline (sterile saltwater)
- New structured, saline-filled implant (Ideal Implant) that combines the natural look and feel of silicone gel with the safety and peace of mind of saline (not eligible for my special pricing)
Most women (and most plastic surgeons, myself included) prefer the look and feel of structured or silicone implants, both of which are generally considered to be more like real breast tissue. Saline implants are more prone to cause rippling of the skin.

Before deciding if a patient is a good candidate for the IDEAL Implant, I take into consideration:
- her body type
- her age
- the current size of her breasts
- the breast size she would like to be
Here in my practice, my patients love the IDEAL Implant
Today's breast implant patients are happy that they no longer have to choose between a beautiful, natural look and the confidence of knowing their implants will stay intact. I am happy, too, that I can help them achieve the breast size they desire in a safe, highly effective way.
For many women, breast implants help them feel sexier, younger and more feminine. For others, breast implants correct breasts that don't match, breasts that never developed, the absence of breasts after surgery, or some other issue. But for all of these women, breast implant surgery (either with silicone, saline or the IDEAL Implant) can be a wonderful turning point in their lives, boosting their self-esteem and enabling them to have a positive body image, sometimes for the first time.
Structured vs. saline implants
Saline is a safe, natural solution easily absorbed by the body in case of rupture. However, saline implants wrinkle and move like water balloons.
Structured vs. silicone gel implants
When intact, silicone gel implants are FDA-approved and safe. But when they rupture, the implants and gel need to be removed. These ruptures are silent and can only be detected by an MRI, so women with silicone gel implants should have an MRI scan every 2 years to make sure they haven't ruptured.
Revolutionary structured design
The unique design of the IDEAL Implant is what gives it a natural look and feel without using silicone gel. It has a series of implant shells nested together and two separate chambers that hold the saline. Plus, it uses an advanced internal structure to control movement of the saline and support the implant edges to reduce collapse and wrinkling.
Approved by the FDA and Health Canada in 2014, the IDEAL Implant has undergone 10 years of development, testing and refinement, including the clinical expertise of numerous plastic surgeons.
Are breast implants safe?
Silicone: In 1992, the FDA restricted the use of silicone breast implants and allowed only women having breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery to get them. For the next 14 years, women who wanted breast augmentation could only receive saline breast implants. In 2006, after reviewing research and finding no connection between silicone implants and disease, the FDA once again approved the sale of silicone breast implants.
Saline: If the implant shell leaks, a saline implant will simply collapse and the saline will be absorbed and naturally expelled by the body.
Structured: Approved by the FDA and Health Canada in 2014, the structured, saline-filled IDEAL Implant has undergone 10 years of development, testing and refinement, including the clinical expertise of numerous plastic surgeons.
Seeing is believing

If you already have breast implants, please come see me
If it has been a few years (or more) since your breast augmentation surgery, it’s important to get them checked. I highly recommend doing this once a year. Please make an appointment to come in and see me so I can check for any problems.
Considering breast implants?
If you are thinking about having breast implant surgery, please contact me for a free consultation and I will send you additional information prior to your appointment. During our meeting, I will assess the current appearance of your breasts, your reasons for wanting surgery, and your expectations. Then together, we will decide if the IDEAL Implant would be the right choice for you, or another option. (NOTE: the IDEAL Implant is not eligible for my special pricing.)
